Monday, November 06, 2006 - Heart & Soul and Contender are ICCD B-Sides

These previously unreleased tracks which have only been performed during gigs will provide the flipside support for the still-unconfirmed release of I Can't Come Down.

These are live recordings of these tracks rather than the full studio versions, which could still be held over for the next LP. You can preview the tracks at the 7Digital music store.

Sunday, November 05, 2006 - I Can't Come Down - New Single?

Reports are coming in that I Can't Come Down will be the third (or maybe fourth?) single from This New Day, and will be released on 4th December. A strange time to release a track, especially since there has been no official announcement yet - less than a month before the release.

There has been speculation that releasing World At Your Feet has confused the choice of singles from TND, but it would be bad form to release just two singles from the album proper. ICCD fills that gap but with only a month to go till release and the band on a hiatus, the chances of success for this rather excellent track seem minimal.

Thursday, October 26, 2006 - A Hard Earned Rest

With the tour over, Mickey Dale had this to say about when they'll start working on new material:

"I don't know, but I guess not until Spring/Summer 2007. We've had very little time off in 3 years, and I don't see any point trying to make another record until we're all bursting at the seams to do it. It will fly by, believe me!"

Friday, September 22, 2006 - Embrace - We're not splitting up

After last night's report that Embrace were to split up, Danny went on Radio One today to clear up the rumours. Oli did a quick summary of what was said:

"Summary: they aren't splitting up. They have loads of songs finished. 'We always approach an album as if it's our last.' 'It's a tough psychological process.' Moyles suggests Mickey should be spokesman of the band in the future as he's the sensible one."

Chris Moyles also said to Danny, "Sounded like you were jacking it in" to which he responded, "that was definitely not the intention, this tour might be the last for a while, I've got stuff I want to do".

Danny also asked the rest of the band to shout out on the radio: They shouted "we aren't splitting up" while Steve shouted "I am".

Looks like it's just him then after all. SueM recorded the full radio segment - you can grab it here.

XFM also have an article and an interview up, entitled X-clusive Embrace "We're Not Splitting!
